UNEARTH NUTRITION
Welcome to the deep knowledge and ancient wisdom of your body -and the foods that nourish it.
Food for thought
Our modern world is filled with foods that contain limited nutrients – and these foods have their purpose. The ‘frozen meal’ was a product of World War 1; we needed foods to be fast, with little preparation, for soldiers and the overworked family members left at home. Since then, packaged food companies undertook the importance of marketability as their main value. The ancient wisdom of food’s healing properties were lost as grains were stripped of their fiber, plant food’s medicinal properties were discarded, and macronutrients were delivered unbalanced. The first organ in the human body that will take notice of this lack of nutritional value is the brain. For many of us, this first shows up as cognitive difficulties, depression, anxiety, and general mental health deterioration.
Community
It takes a village. One of the essential parts of achieving a new habit is to be surrounded by people who are doing the same. We’re much more likely to continue when we have a supportive community. Food is rooted in humans coming together and telling stories – get ready to meet your nutrition family and dive into stories and recipes of cultures near and far.
Food is health
This truth isn’t always easy to apply in a world that makes less nutritious food the most accessible in our fast-paced environments. You’ll learn to separate the fact from fiction and manage your daily nutrition intake with ease.
Education
In order to find our best way of feeding ourselves, we have to learn the basics of nutrition and wade through the murky waters of diets, trends, and any other ways that we’ve been disconnected from our intuition for the sake of the beauty industry. Learning the truth of how our bodies work with the foods we eat will feel like coming home after a long trip away from all that is bliss. This is the fun part – and we make it personal to you.
